Supporting our local playground
Come down to the playground at Fairfield and eat pizza on May 27th. We are going to have a party
The playground in our area is the hub of our community. My kids spent much of their childhood there as did many of our friends. As many of us don't have gardens it has been so important to have access to a green space.
But, all is not well and it is showing its age and is reaching a point where it might be condemned. It needs to be safe and modernised.
The playground is maintained by the Fairfield Association and they need £35K to make it well again. Money has been raised but we still need to find another £7K.
Let's eat as much pizza as we can on May 27th down at the playground and have a party. All proceeds go to the fund. We are going to make 300 doughs this time and will be serving from 12 noon until dark.

Organising an event like this is quite involved and we are looking for helpers. We need dough makers, cleaners, flyer distributors, shoppers, front of house, health and safety, musicians, magicians!
